OH SON OF ADAM!

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

(In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.)

ALLAH, may He be exalted, created Adam the father of mankind (Peace be upon him) and he created from him his wife Hawwa’. Then mankind spread from them as ALLAH says (interpretation of the meaning):

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا ۚ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ

“O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allaah is that (believer) who has At Taqwa [i.e. he is one of the Muttaqoon (the pious)." [Quran 49:13]

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا

O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer. [Quran 4:1]


 ANAS (R.A) said that he heard from the Messenger of ALLAH (ﷺ) say:

ALLAH THE EXALTED SAID:

O Son of Adam!

As long as you invoke me and plead Me, 

I will forgive you whatever you have done and i shall not mind,

O Son of Adam!

O Son of Adam!

If your evil deeds reach the borders of the sky, 

and then you ask me for forgiveness, I will forgive you, and I shall not mind.

O Son of Adam!

If you bring forth the earth full of errors, then you meet Me while you do not associate anything with Me, I will bring forth for you its full of forgiveness.

Zayad (RA) Said: That he heard the prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) say:
Whoever says:

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْْقَيُّومُ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

"Astaghfirulaha aladhi la ilaha ila huwa-l-hayo-l-qayyumu wa atubu ilayh"

'I seek forgiveness of Allah besides whom is no God, the ever living, the self-subsisting and I repent to Him’ 3 times.
Then he is forgiven even if he had fled from the battle field. [Narrated by Abu Dawud]
