مسنون دعائیں

Truly, Allah loves those who repent, and He loves those who cleanse themselves.
[Al-Baqarah 2:222]

There is nothing more dear to Allah Ta’ala than a servant making dua to him.
[at Tirmidhi]

The person who does not ask from Allah Ta’ala, Allah Ta’ala becomes angry with him.
[at Tirmidhi, Ahmad]

Trials, tribulations and challenges are part of every person’s life. However, to counter that, Allah has provided us a very powerful tool – and that is the tool of dua or asking Allah for help and his mercy when we need it. And we need it all the time…
However, to understand trials and tribulations that we face in our daily lives, we also need to understand the topic of “Sins” and how our sins may be related to our trials and tribulations.

In another Hadith
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA):
The Prophet said: “There is nothing more honorable with Allah [Most High] than supplication.”
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3370

The Prophet took the hand of Hadrat Muadh ibn Jabal (R.A) and said to him, "O Mu'adh, I love you!"  Hadrat Mu'adh (R.A) responded, "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him); I love you too." Then the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said, "I advise you, O Mu'adh, say at the end of every prayer,  ‘Allahumma inni ala Zikrika wa Shukrika wa husni ibadatika’  (O Allah, aid me in Your Remembrance, Your thanks, and in perfecting Your worship)."

Shahr bin Hawshab (RA) said:
“I said to Umm Salamah: ‘O Mother of the Believers! What was the supplication that the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said most frequently when he was with you?” She said: ‘The supplication he said most frequently was: “O Changer of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion (Yā Muqallibal-qulūb, thabbit qalbī `alā dīnik).’” She said: ‘So I said: “O Messenger of Allah, why do you supplicate so frequently: ‘O Changer of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.’ He said: ‘O Umm Salamah! Verily, there is no human being except that his heart is between Two Fingers of the Fingers of Allah, so whomsoever He wills He makes steadfast, and whomever He wills He causes to deviate.’”
