And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. (2:186)
Our communication with our creator and sustainer. Allah speaks to us through the Qur’an and teaches us how to speak with Him throughout. Ask your creator as He has taught you to ask.

Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow)
English Translation:
Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily! You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower." - [Quran 2:127]

And of them there are some who say: "Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire!" - [Quran 2:201]

And when they advanced to meet Jalut (Goliath) and his forces, they invoked: "Our Lord! Pour forth on us patience and make us victorious over the disbelieving people." - [Quran 2:250]
English Translation:
"Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Suppor-ter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people. - [Quran 2:286]
Surah 'Āli `Imrān (Family of Imran)
English Translation:
(They say): "Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower." - [Quran 3:8]
English Translation:
Our Lord! Verily, it is You Who will gather mankind together on the Day about which there is no doubt. Verily, Allah never breaks His Promise". - [Quran 3:9]

"Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire." - [Quran 3:16]

"O my Lord! Grant me from You, a good offspring. You are indeed the All-Hearer of invocation." - [Quran 3:38]

"Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one (Muhammad SAW) calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die in the state of righteousness along with Al-Abrar (those who are obedient to Allah and follow strictly His Orders). - [Quran 3:193]
English Translation:
Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise." - [Quran 3:194]
Surah Al-Mā'idah (The Table Spread)
English Translation:
"Our Lord! We believe; so write us down among the witnesses. - [Quran 5:83]
Surah Al-'A`rāf (The Heights)
English Translation:
"Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers." - [Quran 7:23]

"Our Lord! Place us not with the people who are Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrong doers)." - [Quran 7:47]
English Translation:
Our Lord! Pour out on us patience, and cause us to die as Muslims." - [Quran 7:126]
Surah At-Tawbah (The Repentance)

But if they turn away, say (O Muhammad SAW): "Allah is sufficient for me. La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne." - [Quran 9:129]
Surah Yūnus (Jonah)
English Translation:
They said: "In Allah we put our trust. Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing) (i.e. do not make them overpower us). - [Quran 10:85]

"And save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk." - [Quran 10:86]
Surah 'Ibrāhīm (Abrahim)

"O my Lord! Make me one who performs As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and (also) from my offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation." - [Quran 14:40]

Surah Al-'Isrā' (The Night Journey)

"My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small." - [Quran 17:24]

And say (O Muhammad SAW): My Lord! Let my entry (to the city of Al-Madinah) be good, and likewise my exit (from the city of Makkah) be good. And grant me from You an authority to help me (or a firm sign or a proof) - [Quran 17:80]
Surah Al-Kahf (The Cave)

"Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!" - [Quran 18:10]
Surah Ţāhā (Ta-Ha)

[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). - [Quran 20:25]
English Translation:
"And ease my task for me; - [Quran 20:26]

"And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant] - [Quran 20:27]

"That they understand my speech, - [Quran 20:28]
English Translation:
"My Lord! Increase me in knowledge." - [Quran 20:114]
Surah Al-'Anbyā' (The Prophets)
English Translation:
And (remember) Dhan-Nun (Jonah), when he went off in anger, and imagined that We shall not punish him (i.e. the calamites which had befallen him)! But he cried through the darkness (saying): La ilaha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah)], Glorified (and Exalted) are You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers." -
[Quran 21:87]
English Translation:
And (remember) Zakariya (Zachariah), when he cried to his Lord: "O My Lord! Leave me not single (childless), though You are the Best of the inheritors." - [Quran 21:89]
Surah Al-Mu'minūn (The Believers)
English Translation:
"My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). - [Quran 23:97]
English Translation:
"And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." - [Quran 23:98]
English Translation:
Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy! - [Quran 23:109]
English Translation:
And say (O Muhammad SAW): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!" - [Quran 23:118]
Surah An-Naml (The Ant)
English Translation:
"My Lord! Inspire and bestow upon me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favors which You have bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds that will please You, and admit me by Your Mercy among Your righteous slaves." - [Quran 27:19]
Surah Al-Hashr (The Exile)
English Translation:
Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness, Most Merciful. - [Quran 59:10]
